[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Informal Poll-National Anthem???

Please put tradition aside on this.

If you were there in the beginning when a national anthem was being chosen and had the choice between The Star Spangled Banner and America the Beautiful, which would you have chosen???

My favorite "other country" anthem is O Canada.

Just wondering.

Hmmm.......tough one............. America the beautiful is a great song and that makes it my choice.

Based on Harv's comments below I've changed my mind - rockets and bombs it is!

Real Simple.. The Song that was inspired by a battle that kept us free in the face of our Enemies.....

And any songs with Rockets and Bombs in it just has to be the one.....
