Hello, all. In the past you've expressed an interest in helping make Wisconsin the 49th state to recognize the right to carry a firearm for self defense.
As you've probably noticed, there hasn't been anything going on with the Wisconsin Concealed Carry Association. There's a number of reasons for that. One is that there hasn't been anything going on legislatively. Another is that people are either burned out or discouraged, or both, by what has happened in 2004 and 2006. One of the main reasons that nothing has been going on with the WCCA, though, is the WCCA board itself. The board members have ignored the organization as jobs and family matters have taken the front seat. The board realizes that we're not helping in any way, and that there are opportunities that are being missed. The board members have also agreed that we should be replaced. Bill Schmitz, vice chairman of the WCCA, would like to restart the organization with the help of new board members. Bill is still active in pro-gun causes, teaches concealed carry courses, and is at just about every gun show in the state. He still has the fire in the belly that other board members have lost. If you have anything to offer Bill in the way of help, I would urge you to contact him. There's a lot that can still be done to advance the cause, if the right people are in place. Bill's email address is [email protected] . Thanks, Dick Baker Founder, board member Wisconsin Concealed Carry Association I appreciate their efforts, and the fact that we'd have CCW if it weren't for Doyle. And for back-stabbing legislators that voters HAVE NOT PUNISHED, like Gary Sherman. At least Doyle is honest enough to say he'll veto any gun rights bill that makes it to him, instead of traitorously co-sponsoring the legislation, then voting against it on veto override. (Can you tell I'm still pissed about that, and pissed that Sherman is still in office?) Anyway, here's the chance for people with new ideas to step in and try to make something happen. |

I'd be willing to liason with WCCA and The John Birch Society. We have some nice tools that would allow people to EASILY email their state rep, and we could help bring in some of our members in the state to work on this issue.
If anyone here is interested in working with The John Birch Society on this, we're more than happy to help. I can setup the campaign on our side as long as someone from WCCA or ARFCOM is willing to help take charge. We have tools and assets we can use. Regards, David |
