Called a local "shooters shop" for a kit, hoping to get lucky, and was told they may have one availble if someone back out on it. Now the best part,"$200" f'ing dollars. I'm pretty damn new to AR world but WTF, thats just plain wrong! So my search will continue

That's almost unbelievable. Bushmaster's normal price is $69.50 and they ain't exactly low price. I can't imagine anyone actually paying that.
