I'm looking for anyone near Nekoosa, WI that'd be willing to get together sometime to compare 1-4x (type) scopes.
I've got a DMS (1-4x illuminated), a Weaver 1-3x (non-illuminated) and a Cmore 1-5x illuminated. I'd like to be able to see how the bigger dollar scopes compare to these scopes. Stuff like the Trijicon Accupoints, Meopta K-dots, IOR 1-4x, Leupold 1.5-5x, etc... If anyone has any of the above scopes (or others) and would like to go shoot sometime to compare these scopes - let me know. Thanks, Doug PS - Any other ideas? It's too damm expensive to buy these scopes just to see if they really are better than what I already have. |

I won't be traveling to Nekoosa anytime soon, but I have a VXIII 1.5-5 ILL. I love it.
I use it for hunting on a 6.8 and move it to my 5.56 as well. I haven't compared it to any similar scopes however. Depending on your stock and shooting style, keep in mind the longer eye relief in this scope. I run mine on a Larue SPR-E. I went to a couple of shops to look thru some scopes. Not a great test but it gives you some idea. I don't know who in WI even stocks Meopta, IOR, or Trijicon. |
