I have a Chip McCormick Super Match AR15 Trigger Group (Curve Trigger).
Its a Large pin version, I need the small.
I called and they will swap at Chip, but they dont even have the parts to build any.

If anyone has and wants to trade a single stage drop in trigger for it id love it.

I guess if it were mine I'd maybe see about machining a bushing, to slip in there then the regular pin would fit.

What does the large pin fit anyways?

Large pin is for some Colts.  I'd machine some bushings for it.  .154ID .172OD

.009" wall, that is seriously thin.  Wow.

You could drill the holes to the Colt spec.  It's not like parts aren't available.  Then again, you would be limited to large pin parts for good.

Anyone feel like making them for me. I might be able to give you something i have, or donate some ammo for a little shooting .

one possiblity would be to machine up some drill rod or something to the effect of having two pins per hole-each being .172"(or whatever matches the trigger housing through holes) with a step down to .154".  Make them short to have a gap in the middle and/or hollow them out a little(.172" side) and put a spring in between them.  It should be possible to push the ends in and have them pop out when in place holding the trigger housing correctly-maybe.
I haven't ever tried it but who knows.
Does it sound feesible?
Wait a sec...  does the housing have removeable bushings?  If so, you could get new bushings made pretty easily.

I see 2 options for what you want to do
1. bushing - not great with as thin as you want
2. have someone fill the hole with weld and redrill - hard to ensure you get in the exact spot

good luck to you. i work with fab/machine suppliers every day at work and can ask around, but don't know you'll have a lot of luck

on a side note, i'm happy to loan you a trigger group, i'm doing a build and my stage 2 will be here any day. I won't be using the trigger from my LPK. A temp fix until CMC can make a new one for you

I will try this afternoon, what length do the spacers need to be?

I do not think it'll be succesful, but what the hell...

you might as well wrap a piece of paper around the pins three times

once I got a mic in my hands to check on 9 thou I knew it wasnt going to happen.

Just so I'm clear by bushings I mean the ones that come from CHip to hold the Hammer and trigger in.  Are they removeable?  Looking at the pic they might be just loctited in?

CMC is an awsome company to deal with, as soon as they got the triggers in they payed for shipping and sent me a new trigger in about 3 days.
