Does anyone know if there is a mag capacity limit for deer?  If so could you provide me a link so I can read it myself.  I've been searching on the DNR site and can only find min. caliber, nothing about mag capacity.  Thanks!

I contacted the DNR on this a year ago. There is no magazine capacity limit. Call them and ask.

Agreed, there is no mag capacity limit for deer hunting.

Though I do have a similar question:
Does the same 'no-mag-capacity-limit" also apply for fur-bearing small game hunting? (i.e. Can I use a 30rd mag when hunting coyotes with my AR-15?)

As far as I am aware you can use any mag you want. If you want to use a Beta mag (for either deer or yotes) feel free.

The State of Wisconsin has absolutely no restrictions on rifle magazine capacity for small or large game.  Beta Mags for 'yotes and 'coons are fine......
The Necedah thing is specific to that area, and is the exception.  It looks like there are all kinds of goofy rules for hunting there.  Limited small game and deer can be taken there.  Even Cototes are protected there.

If you look in the Administrative Code NR10 you'll also find other things to do/not do, and is where they have some of these regs mentioned. I just spoke with a Warden about something related and this is the direction he pointed me in. It is accessible on the State of WI website. He also confirmed, no restrictions on mag capacity, and he got asked that a lot.

I carry a FAL when I use a rifle.

Fill the mag and go, however it does get heavy
