Has anyone gone or is anyone planning to go to Louisville for the Annual meetings this weekend? I would love to go but my ass can't handle 500 miles and 8-1/2 hours in my truck. |

I'm here This is my first convention and let me tell you WOW!!!!!! I'll be back. We left Green Bay at 12:00 am Friday morning rolled into the convention at 10:15 am and spent all day just walking the expo hall..From 10:20 to 5:00 pm and theres still stuff we haven't seen. Saw all the really cool people. Ie Jim Scouten, R lee emery, Col. John Plaster did you all know he's a fellow wisconsite? Orginally from Iron River! My buddy bought his newest sniper book and got it autographed. I've looked at all the SBR stuff i can get my hand on and i think it gonna be a POF or a YHM upper for me! Also found these really cool gun stands that has magnets in the top to capture the barrel. and then they turn on a base. I think it's what my biggest purchase is gonna be. A nice way to store them and to display them at the same time! Just my first day at the show I'll let you know later how saturday went! P.s Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes!!!!! God my feet hurt!!!!! |
Make sure to stop by Ted |

High lights of day two. First warm fuzzy of the day. Was after entering the annual meeting hall and trying to decide where to sit with my three friends.. A fellow by the name of Wayne La Pierre walks up from behind us and Personally welcomed us to the event and shook all are hands.. Had i not wet my pants I would have had my picture taken with him.... It was so cool the Ex. Vice President of the NRA shook my had!!! When the meeting started i was so overcome it was so powerful the message being sent. The Star Spangled Banner being sung. The Pledge of Allgeiance, the invocation. Then the oldest member and youngest life member. The oldest was 90 and the youngest was a set of twins less than a month old. Then came the speeches!!!! We stayed at the meeting till about 12:30 and then we cut out. While walking back to the Expo Hall the line for Uncle Ted's book signing was long about 500-600 feet. So i didn't get in that line. We walked the expo hall again. It just doesn't get old!! All the GLORIOUS GUN PORN!!!! We started on the opposite side of yesterday hoping to score some of the freebie's from the vendors but that wasn't in the plan. Otis was handing out these nice cloth bags but there were gone by the time we got there. But if you bought there cleaning kit they gave you a free hat. We checked out all the flashlights we could and the one engineer from Insight lights was so nice. We visited for 15 minutes and he was letting us check out this a Thermal Imaging Scope A $30.000 dollar riflescope!!!!!! It was the most awesome piece of equipment. Then the Engineer asked if we wanted some free T-shirts. He went in the back and came out with t-shirts for all of us. Also If you all check the back cover of this months Riflemen. Heather Is much hotter in a Sports Bra and a Boyshorts and cowboy boots with a Gunbelt that held some sort of Ruger SAS type gun. That wouldn't stay on her hips....lol Sweaty Uncle Teddy was on the Main Nra stage giving an interview in the afternoon when he got down people were getting there pictures taken with him and we walked with in 20 feet of him. Did you know he was paid $40.000 for his appearance at the 2008 convention.. I bet not...This fact concerns me a bit.. Being on the NRA board of directors I think he should be donating his time and talents Not picking up a paycheck.. Maybe he donates it back i don't know... I'm sure I'm missing somethings. If i think of them i'll post more.. And when i get some pics from our camera guru i'll post some of the pictures of the GUN PORN. Just your friendly Neighborhood Keyboard Commando. Parruthead Quote of the Day by Chris Cox Good thing that Barack Obama is skinny because there isn't much room left to the Ted Kennedy. |

I don't care for the grip angle on the XD's,So I didn't look them over that much. I know everybody who owns one loves them just not me But I did spend time looking over the 1911's O Yeah see you in Phoenix AZ in 09!!!!! |
