SO, the family and I will be flying back to the Fox Valley the end of Oct. to visit. I was hoping to stop by a shop or two, maybe between Green Bay and Fond du lac. Hoping to find evil black or evil black w/ wood rifles (AR/AK/HK/FAL etc). Things I really cant find at the local shops in Calif. If you know of any shop that has anything on the shelfs just to check out, please let me know. Also plan on sending to myself some of my CA-legal rifles so I can replace the mag releases and hit the range off 'BB/45' (IIRC) and a buddy has some land off 10. If will be nice to drop a mag or 2. thanks for any help Chris |

Midwestern Shooters Supply in Lomira on Hwy 41 just south of Fond du lac usually has a supply of AR's, M1a's, and Beretta Storms. Doesn't sound like you are planning to buy, but if you are remember that long guns must be purchased in your state of residence or a contiguos sp? (touching) state, and your home state's laws must be abided too. If you switched to CA residency, don't plan on buying anything with a receiver. |
| Tews too in Oshkosh, Corner of 16th and main, has some nice stuff. So Does Precision Sports just west of Oshkosh on HWY 44. They stock a lot of DPMS and RRA gear. John's sportshop on Jackson ST (now hwy 76) also has a decent selection from time to time. Of the three I'd say right now that Precision is your best bet in Osh-vegas. |
Ain't that the truth. I have no plans on buying anything other than ammo while back in town, buying in it WI arranging a transer dealer in CA , shipping fees, receiving transfer fees, 10 day wait, etc. not really worth it, unless I come across some C&R stuff (CZ52 hint, hint) Thanks for the heads up on some of the more local shops |
