My vote is for forced perspective. It looks to be a big pig, but in all the pics the people are behind the pig and it is difficult to judge size with no foreground reference. |

| I have raised quite a few pigs, and in my opinion the monsterpig.com pig would have weighed well over 1100#. Maybe 1100# field dressed. Pigs are quite dense creatures, and that one appears to have eaten fairly well. A live steer about the size of that pig would weigh at least 1300-1400#. The snopes pig seems a bit small for 1000#.
