Hey all,

Is there any registration/background checking/FFL required to complete a FTF firearms sale in WI? My research says no, but I just want to be sure.

Thanks.

I'd still make a note, mental if nothing else, on who you sell it to.  Using your spidey sense about the buyer doesn't hurt either.

When I'm the one selling FTF I do require the buyer fill out a bill of sale and I write down his driver's license number.  That way (god forbid) the gun is used in a crime and the cops show up on my doorstep, I have proof of who I sold it to.  Not legally required to do this but I do.

Yeah. I'm not 21, so believe me, it sucks ;)

But, as long as my Dad or Mom buys it for me, then gives it to me, I can legally own it, transport it, and operate it by myself.

You can hunt with a handgun as long as you are 18.
