Hi all! I have been a reader of ARFCOM for awile and love this sight. I live in Franklin, and usualy shoot IDPA at shooters. I am hoping to get to the Racine county line match on the 16. Some day (when I can afford it) Id like to become a member of RCLRC. Wich brings me to my 1st question.... DOSE ANY ONE KNOW THE HOURS OF McMILLER? I have my Colt lower w/ my new 14.5(phantom pinned) bushy upper that needs to be sighted in along with my aim point. I would like to go today, but it looks more like tomarrow. I dont know if they are open tomarrow though. I know you guys will be able to help.....THANK YOU! |

I'm back from McMiller...It was 90*s out but a good time! I sighted in my new m4-upper, buis and Aimpoint. I was acually suprised how close on target they were. The only problem I had today was with ammo. I sighted in with hand loads and then decided to pop off some battle pack rnds. I think they were Austrailian 55gr FMJ. The problem happened on the first round, I shot and the shell stayed in the chamber and then the bolt charged another rnd behind the stuck shell. I cleared the jam and popped the stuck rnd out w/ a rod. The rim of the shell was ripped off, the perfect size of the extractor. It happened every other rnd so I switched back to handloads with no problems afterword. It sure feels good to know my AR is dialed in now. I just wish they were open later than 4:00. I could shoot all-day every-day if I could. FMD I just might take you up on that soon, I'd rather belong to a club than to pay $12 every time. I have to figure out how to post some pics, I'm one of those people that dont understand how to get my pics in the host. "Hosted online"? Url, is that the address? Some help would be cool, Thanks Again!!!!! GARANDPRO out... |

Redi-Mag. Holds a spare magazine. Take a close look at the 3rd & 4th pics and you can see the spare magazine parallel to the one in the rifle. I have one on my 11.5". There are pros & cons to them. |
Sounds like SA battle pack, problem was probably soft brass. MisterPX knows all about the fun that can be had with SA battle packs with soft brass.
