Yea, This is majorly FUBAR. Thanks for posting this over here Tweak. I am going to refrain from mentioning the smith's name, but I will say he is in the Madison area, and he came pretty highly recommended. Do I have much of a case if I need to go after him in small claims? |

Tweak, thanks for the heads up!!! I posted on the original thread. I will be in WI in a few weeks and can take a look at it then if he can wait. CY6, Greg Sullivan "Sully" Chief Instructor TheDefensiveEdge.com |
| Kraz, from what I picked up in the other thread, your barrel is still salvageable, be it that you may be needing to go to a clamp on FSB, if you desire to keep the FSB. As to reclaiming any losses, the court system will cost you more than it would to get another barrel and nut, so my advice is to cut your losses and run, especially if you have to buy him the tools to work on your rifle. I have the equiptment to patch your current parts into an iron sight shootable rifle, although it'll look like a hack went to town on your FSB. Otherwise, it look's like you'll need another barrel. If you want to to have a go at it, I'm in Racine. If you want to just get another barrel, I can install that for you as well. |

I am going to with hold the smiths name until a.) I am told it is ok for me to post it, and b.) I see how willing he is to help fix it. But if you have any projects going in to be smithed and are concerned if it might be him, PM me with the guys name and I'll tell you if its him or not. |
