| I'm heading to Neenah Thursday night with my wife to visit relatives for the week-end and will have a few hours to myself on Friday. Can anyone reccomend some good gun stores in the Appleton area? I'm not looking for anything specific, so variety is a big plus. |
| really only two spots. either Gander mountain right off HYW 41 across from the Fox River Mall or at Scheels which is at the front of the Fox River Mall. If you only have time I would recommend Scheels as its got a bigger selection and a pretty cool Display Only gun room with a full Grizzily bear mount. ya gottta check it out. Take Hyw 41 north and get off at the College Ave ext. and you'll see the mall on the west side (can't miss it) |
| While it is not in Neenah/Appleton, you might want to take a drive about 20 miles north on HWY 41 to the Scheuring Road exit, just south of Green Bay. You could check out the new Sportsmans Warehouse. They have a pretty large seletion of handguns. They also have a pretty nice selcection of rifles and optics. |
