We got to do a shoot at RCLRC some time comming up. I know a couple other club members that would join us for some shootin. |
the range is in Blanchardville, its the "yellow stone state park range" and as to rules we dont need no stinking rules nah there ant any posted rules but we do police our selfs, a few of our guys are nra rso's or firearm instructrs so someone will normal be keeping a eye on everyone..all wa ask is durn a cese fire dont play with your weapons and dont kill anyone. thanks ray. |

YEEEEE-HAAAAAAAW! We'll be there! I'd like to formally make a motion to set up the tent and stuff at the 200 yard line this year instead of the 100. The last three times I've been to Yellowstone some inconsiderate bastages had their trucks parked right behind the benches at the 100. I haven't had a chance to shoot from the 200 since the days were long and the nights were hot. |
theres a 200y line...damn.. well tell you what sence my parnets any making it il try to be there by 9amish and if you wanta help set it up il put it were ever you want it.. also im thinking of not bringing the grill..just mabey BBQ in a crock pot..would that work for you guys? |
that was a hell of a lota fun..il send a IM |
|
A .50 ?!?!? Damn, that would be sweet to shoot one of those; hell even to see it being shot would awesome. btw, is anyone going to be bringing a camcorder or digital camera to the shoot? Those pics from last year were great! (tattoo got a picture of me with 3 casings of LC M193 flying through the air!) |
Yep, that's the one! ![]() I'll ask a friend of mine if he might be able to digitize the video. Otherwise maybe just bring the digital camera again??? Should I bring some name tags? Did we have them last year? |
i talked to PE hes going to burn what ever vid i send him...could also probley burn all pics to the CD with the vid,hes going to edit it down and make it nice and probley set to some nice tunes. il be glade to send any of the guys at the shoot a copy if you guys will cover postage, probley like $1.50 max.... sound good? thanks ray |
![]() Sounds good!![]()
|
damn thats nice of her...BTW is she free that day? and does she know how to grill burgers and hot dogs? |
She says she might tag along this time, but if she does there's no way you'll get her to cook all day long. She wants to spend her time behind a gun, not a spatula. Maybe we can setup a cook rotation or something? |
hmmm i never thought about setting up a rotation...mabey just set a time for lunch unsted of cooking all day and i could get the grill set up and help her with the coking..i would love to see everyone get some trigger time |
|
Hello Ray....check your IM (do I sound like a computer geek yet?) On the cook thing, we have a guy that likes to cook more than shoot-?- we don't let him out much but this might be a good time. He also has some class 3 stuff but, well, read your IM. We are locked on 25 Jan, correct? Bob. |
bob sounds good to me..if ya got a cook bring him down. class 3 is allways nice and yes i will be there jan 25th. thanks ray |
Funny, but this just kicked a memory up from last year. I don't know if anyone else had this happen, but it was soo cold that the breath coming out of my nose was creating a thick layer of frost on the buffer tube. Dress for the weather, don't fear it. |

I can't believe it's already that time of year again! My dad and I will try and be there again this year. We had a great time last year! I'll load up some AUG mags ahead of time this year! :) If you can get to one of the towns listed below, here are some directions to the range: From Argyle - Take STH 81 West out of town. A few miles west of town, turn right (north) onto CTH G. Stay on CTH G until the intersection with CTH F. Turn right (north) on CTH F. Range is on the right side, 1 1/2 - 2 miles. If you miss the turn off of CTH G and end up in Fayette, turn around and head back east! From Blanchardville - Take CTH F west out of town. After passing the entrance to Yellowstone Lake State Park, look for the range on your left side in 1 - 1 1/2 miles. From Darlington - Take CTH F North out of town. To reach CTH F, go north through town on STH 23. Once on CTH F, stay on this road through Fayette. CTH F and CTH G are the same road through Fayette, so about 1 - 1 1/2 miles east of town, turn left (north) onto CTH F. Range is on the right side 1 1/2 - 2 miles. From Dodgeville - Take STH USH 151/STH 23 West to Mineral Point. At Mineral Point, exit off of USH 151 onto STH 23 South. Stay on STH 23 South out of Mineral Point towards Darlington. Turn left (east) onto CTH G to and through Fayette. 1 - 1 1/2 miles east of Fayette, turn left (north) onto CTH F. Range is on the right side 1 1/2 - 2 miles. See you there! |

In... Anyone else from the Milwaukee area (with a spare seat & room for 3 rifles, 2 handguns & 2 ammo cans) going? P.S. If anyone's bringing someone 'new', Cenier finally fixed my AK47 .22 conversion kit. I'll have that with me... I'm also looking forward to some 'expert' advise on my Savage setup, as I'm presently assuming that the relative inaccuracy (1" to 2" groups at 100yds) is my fault, not my equipment's... This being my first experience with anything over .223, I have little to base this on, however... |
Dave, We could link up at the Pine Cone in Johnson Creek if you like. I would be happy to check out you rifle as well. I will bring my own Salvage along. Geoff |
Dave what ammo are you using in it? Oh and I'm thinking I should be able to make it out for this one. |

Boomholzer...being from Texas, I thought it was a pre-requisite to know how to make chili. What do you mean you will try your hand at chili? That weekend is a no-go for me. I have an ice fishing tournament that weekend. Looks like I will be missing a fun time. Plus, the SW corner is a little far for me. If the FNS is ever held in a more central location...I'd be there in a heart beat. Y'all have fun, and stay warm. |
|
Speakin as a new guy.. Reading through the thread it sounds like a 200 yd setup. Is that true? Do you shoot OFFHAND? Hope targets are plenty big. Just got a Type 97S with EOtech that I'd like to try out. Got the location spotted on the map. is the range at a quarry? |
?
