I've had the creeping nasty crud (flu) for the past couple of days. So, for you folks who are waiting for emails or IMs from me, it'll probably be another day or two. I'm not terribly lucid right now. I also just wanted to complain in "public" a little bit. |
Are you kidding? If he were po' he'd probably get free govt. help. Oh wait...Yankee you're a single white male aren't you? If so, you're screwed as far as free govt. handouts. |

Well, at least three of you give a damn about me. Shadowblade - Thanks for the get well wishes, but the first part of your post sent me into a coughing fit from laughing so hard. Even a dose of Nyquil couldn't cure it, but after about 10 minutes I really didn't care. Karl - Thanks for your well wishes too. And thanks for putting things into perspective. Actually I am kind of poor right now, but I'm not destitute or homeless, and things are looking better. Fruit_of_the_Looms - Yep, single white male. Not interested in government handouts, though. Have you ever eaten their cheese? ![]() Oh, and thank you for throwing me into a laughing/coughing fit too. |
Well no, not quite over it. I feel a heck of a lot better than I did even last night though. My doc said to plan on feeling like garbage for at least a few more days. His other patients who've had it were pretty well wiped out for over a week. Hope none of you end up getting it. It's miserable stuff. |

Glad you're feeling a bit better. I have had a brick of govt. cheese years ago from somewhere. Don't recall where or how I got it. I really liked it. Got a couple of cans of govt. peanut butter. That stuff is nasty. Only thing it's good for is making cookies. Hmmmmmm |
I'm high as a kite and my teeth are green. Merry fucking christmas. For the record, I grew up eating government cheese during the hard times. Damn good grilled cheese sandwiches. |
| 2 HISD schools here in houston are closed becaue soo much of the student population is out sick. i myself have the following symtoms. 102 fever, sore throat, cough, sore eyes, dizzy spells, and cold spells. went to the doctor today, and tested for flu and strep throat. both tests came back negitive. I think i will blame ism on this. where is my government? arnt they suposed to protect me from everything because we are too stupid to know anybetter? |
Get used to it. It will stick with you for close to two weeks. I went through the vertigo bit, too. Lotsa fun and much cheaper than a trip to an amusement park. Now I'm at the tail-end of it and my voice is starting to go. I sound like Marlon Brando in The Godfather. I'm gonna call up some customers who owe me money and collect from them. It sucks, Citabria, but just ride it out. And thanks to everybody for the well-wishes, and for letting me whine. |
