Anyone know where I can find out what the current background check wait time is?  Not sure if there's a link online or not.

Thanks.

Only FFLs with accounts can log in.  Wait time looks like about 4 hours right now.

Not even close.  I waited 1 hr on a weekday during the day recently.  Pretty much back to normal.  Not sure how this is affected on a gunshow weekend.  The FFLs would know better.

you mean after the state starts a blatantly unconstititional poll tax on our rights in order to provide "better" service, they still take just as long?  Color me surprised

It was amazing. Wait times were hovering around 7-9 days until the CO House passed the $10 fee for CBI checks. Even though it had't cleared the Senate or Gov's desk, the number of backlogs and delay times spun down to hours, then minutes at a rapid rate. I didn't watch it live, but an old guy I know with an FFL who has nothing but time on his hands kept refreshing the Insta-Check screen and saw the queue just basically go away within a few hours.  He said it was like someone was just hitting enter and clearing all the backlog out.

Maybe they figured that since they were going to be getting a boost of funds that they better look like they were doing something.

Those M*#@*$% F*#%$#* better NEVER take more then an hour ever again. We are now paying a fee for their services we really don't want or need. If we end up waiting for weeks again I hope the lawsuit's fly!

Here's the problem.  We are all our own worst enemies.  Just look at this panic.  Idiots have driven the prices up on their own.  We have all cowed at the past proposed ideas of mandatory (3-day, 5-day, whatever) waiting periods on gun purchases.  But look at what we did?  WE started a self-imposed 5-10 day waiting period on ourselves at the height of this panic, and no politicians had to do anything.  I'm sure they were all laughing at us.

No. About a month or so ago I bought a Uberti pistol when the wait was about 8 days. I got a call in 6 and when I commented on the quickness my dealer told me a, or some, lawyers were sueing the state for noncompliance over the more than 3 day wait. So CBI got their shit together when the lawyers got on them. This was well before the $10 shit.
