| Meet me on the lawn of the state capital with one 30 round mag. We will exchange mags in civil disobedience of this law. Let's see them enforce it. |
|
Doing it with 20's will have the same effect as they would be legal by Denver law but are banned under 1224.
And if you don't think folks will get arrested for it, think again. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, just, be sure you can afford a Class 2 Misdemeanor on your record before you do it. Because examples WILL be made. That said, it'd be an example on -both- sides, so... could be good. I'll admit it, right out: Having a clearance, I just can't risk it. (Even "contact" with LEOs that isn't a traffic violation becomes a problem that needs to be reported to my CSO) Chances are if you were arrested though it'd be argued down to pretty much nothing unless they really wanted to hang you up to dry. |

Here's an Idea i put out over on coar15.
MAGS AROUND the MANSION. Everyone bring a block of wood painted black to resemble an AR mag. AND PUT IT IN A MAGPUL WRAPPER! enough people to ring around the .govs house sends a message. Even better when you start handing off the "mag" to the person next to you. Then throw them at the same time on his lawn. |

Even if you can afford it (I'm also in a similar camp), make sure you can afford the legal defense. The last thing we need is bad precedent being set in court because of poorly defended cases. If someone here does wind up in court, I'm willing to contribute towards the cause, but court gets expensive fast. |

| Keep an eye out for this idea on a large scale as the date gets closer. Peter Boyles of KHOW radio has talked about holding a large rally on the Capitol steps doing this exact type of mag-swap. We will need BIG numbers to ensure no legal ramifications and to get press coverage, but I don't think it would be a problem! |
