gun, holster, waistband. I'm not elaborate just functional.  You never know where you might be and they ask you to leave non-essentials at their desk, or check in area.

Good gun belt, holster and whatever pistol you choose to carry.  Carrying in a backpack ain't gonna cut it IMO for self defense.

I use a Don Hume leather gun belt, Comptac OWB holster and Comptac double mag pouch(also use a leather single mag pouch when I'm not feeling the need to carry two spares).  I carry a Glock 17 99% of the time and I've never had an issue.  The other 1% I'm carrying a fullsize 1911 or Sig P220.  Same way I carried when stationed at Nellis in the hot ass heat there.  Never been "made" by anyone that I knew of.

Bag of goodies?  Sure, I usually have my bag of coyote hunting equipment in my truck at all times.  Other than that, not really.  I have go bags in my garage, Eagle plate carrier w/plates and 4 M4 mags and 2 G17 mags ready etc.  Out in the woods I have other items with me in the truck should I get stranded in bad weather.  I just gear up for the occasion as I go.

I don't think most daily situations would need more than my pistol, mags and cell phone.  There are always a pair of handcuffs and flashlight in my vehicle due to my job as well.

I have a backpack that I put in my vehicle most days. I have a first aid kit attached to it, flashlight, survival items, knives, spare batteries, rain jacket. It also doubles as my hunting/hiking bag. But as far as EDC, it's my pocket knife, holster and gun. I don't like feeling bulkier than I already am.... I will carry a flashlight as well when I got out at night. If I need a spare mag or something else while doing my daily tasks here, the world is ending...

i have a 1/2T 4wd truck and no qualms about any obstacles if i am away from home base. Between most places i usually are at, there are a number of gun owners i can call or knock / kick in their door as necessary.
As for enough ammo to get home, no one want's to take a bullet for my shit nor i theirs.
