So hows the prospects this weekend at Tanner? |
|
they were lined up 10 deep this morning before 9am. we had em stacked 2 deep at the MGT tables.
is this the start of the 2nd wave of gun buying? after the messiahs state (hey gop'ers play nice with me) of confusion speech, some folks have less faith in the .gov then before |

Quoted: Anybody see any GSG-5 mags at the show? Looking for some non-promags cheap... (Sounds like you can find them $20 ea?) Good luck with that. The cheapest I've gotten mags is at a pawn shop in Grand Junction...at Tanner they typically rune $35-40 each... Try DD's Ranch...they sell them online for a good price. |

Yeah, I thought so too but there are people in the GSG forum saying they're finding them in 2 packs for $39... at local shops and gun shows. Oh well. |

Just got back from Tanner. Place was freakin packed!! General consensus is that everybody saw the State of the Union and thought "OH MY GOD WE'RE BEING RUN BY MORONS!!!" A few good deals to be had, quite a few curiosities (including a table full of Lugers and another with a PPSH41) Couldnt sell a single thing I brought ![]() |

The vendor across from MGT had the FAB Defense TPODs for 69$

I can't believe you guys still tread down to the tanner. It's the same garbage, save a couple good vendors such as Machine Gun Tours, and maybe a couple more that I can't place a name on, but the majority of it is complete garbage. We've got lots of dealers in the metro and front range area to keep you satisfied without having to wade through piles of denver scum and prices that would make cheaper than dirt look like a bargain bin. Off the top of my head, we have: Jensen Arms in Loveland- Those guys are straight shooters, have good prices, and stock A LOT of items. You can even walk in there at any given time and pick up a U.S. Optics Scope. Not to mention they are class III and have a decent selection of suppressors. They always have a pile of accessories, and plenty of black rifles to choose from. Bower's Tactical in Centennial (I think), These guys are a small outfit and only do accessories, but they are good people and always have something that piques my interest when I'm in there The Firing Line in Aurora- S&B optics, just about any firearm you could want. I believe these guys are also class III and I've been treated well every time I've taken a stroll in there. I'm not going to guess how much $$$$ in inventory they have, but it's a pile. They have black rifle accessories too. I've yet to run into an asshole here. That's a big deal to me. If I'm treated poorly in ANY gun shop, I never go back. I don't care if they are the last dealer on earth. Point is, the Tanner gun show is 95% trash. You can literally get better service and prices at any of the places above, and those guys are open weekly. If you haven't been to Jensen's, do yourself a big favor and the next time you decide to go to any of the gun shows in town, just take a drive up to loveland and check them out. I promise, they are well worth the drive. |
| Green M ountain Guns had GSG mags last week in stock. They have the GSG pistols on sale for $369.00 and the mags I think are $29.99. They are GSG not promag. I went to the Tanner and Machine gun tours is really the reason I go to the show. Cool guys. Always trying to get my red and orange Pmags off of me. The guy with the giant clips sign cracks me up. Always way over priced. The folks with the Ak47 slabsides and bakelite mags are goofy as well. $149.00 for either and $249.00 for a waffle mag haha. |

I skipped this last show as I've not been enjoying them much.
I like gun shows that have lots of tables with "junk" on them. By that, I mean oddball stuff, old used firearms, old reloading equipment and casting stuff. I can spend hours in a show with that sort of stuff. I don't like shows with chinese tools, multi-level marketing get rich quick schemes, and such. Arapahoe county fairgrounds show earlier was a bust, few vendors, much garbage and over-priced. RK Shows is going to have to cut entrance ticket prices or I'm going to start boycotting them. |

I had a hard time even getting out from behind the MGT table on sat cause you guys swamped us. THANKS. However Sunday we did have a little lull and i took a stroll through the show and found a guy with a Krieghoff double Rifle in 470 Nitro Express. I have wanted one all my life after reading Ruark and Hemmingway and Keith and listening to my grandfather talk about hunting Africa. SO I now own it. :D THere are still deals ot be had but like an earlier poster said you have to know exactly what you are looking for and what price range you are willing ot pay. |

What are you doing out of your account, Hasher? You looked giddy as Rue Paul telling me about getting that rifle... |

Aurora's brown cloud has finally taken a life.
