Good thing you're not here now. There's a big fire up by Carbondale/Basalt/Catherine Store. 1000 acres by this morning. They had to close Hwy 82 both directions over the night. There were some evacuations and they've started letting people back but I'm not sure just where they lived. I'm not all that familiar with that area. Sorry. Hot time in the ol' town last night!

I know it. I thought we were gonna lose our house (Bonedale)  and more importantly the Lake Christine Shooting range!!! SOunds like all is pretty well under control. My firend is a FF for Carbondale and he told me even after these fires were spreading, there were other idiots out trying to burn brush with no help/ water/ etc.Please people, don't burn Colorado down!!! |
Yeah, it's a hard life. Although I might have to head to FL for about a month to rehab a house I plan on renting out. I'm trying to figure the best time to leave CO so I don't miss too much fun.
