First season opens on Saturday the 13, where wre you going & when.

My group of 6 hunts in South Park, Unit 501. We go on the special cow only Elk hunt after Thanksgiving.

I hope we get snow on that Friday.

Unit 4 for ccow elk this hunt, and unit 4 again in 2 weeks for doe and buck tags. Got a speedgoat in Wyo 2 weeks back, with my 6.8 SPC bushy.

Ditto on Unit 4 - hoping I can fill my doe tag inside the first 35 minutes like last time

. I'll be up there 11/3 and hopefully driving back to Longmont the same day....

i already did muzzleloading. Few pictures of my bull are in the outdoors section in big game hunting.
took him sept 8. opening day of muzzleloading.

Went out with 7 guys, all cow tags. Only one guy filled, but, of course, we all saw many Bulls.

Also saw more deer than ever before. Surprised a buck at only 20 yards when it crossed right in front of me. Ran a few yards away, but he then went into a walk when he realized I wasn't going to shoot him.

That is the typical hunt right there! You don't see what you are looking for, and you see the animals you don't have tags for that you could have easily taken! Go figure!
