| How long of a wait is there after all the paperwork is submitted for a CCL? I have heard weeks and months. What is the wait time in Colorado (El Paso county) specifically? |

12 weeks...wow! I'm only on week 6 of my wait. Guess there really isn't a need to rush home and hope the arapahoe deputy calls. When I put my paper work in he gave me a card and said call on May 5th (10 weeks later) if I hadn't heard from him. I thought he was joking but I guess not. hinking.gif |
2 months? 2 months to run a quick background check and drop a permit in the mail. Why? I could probably process 50 of these in a day without breaking a sweat. Sheesh. The requirements are the same as a NICS checks, and somehow NICS magically manages to do it in 15 seconds. ![]() |

A friend told me it took him 30 days in Boulder County. It took me about 2.5 months 11 years ago in Boulder County. At that time the application was about 8 pages and very personal and intrusive. In addition to meeting the requirements, there was an hour interview in person along with a minimum of three reference interviews. What a process that was. I have to say the new process is much improved and it is nice to see other states passing CCW as well. NE was approved today. Patience grasshopper...

your right if thats all the deputy had to do was take care of ccw permits the process would be alot faster. unfortunately , i'm sure the deputy has alot of other tasks assigned to them and can not simply focus entirely on ccw permits. just my .02 Frank |
Thanks all
