Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. I am in snohomish county, and have been a firearm enthusiast for a long time. I am in the middle of an AR project right now that I have really taken my time on, as fly fishing has really taken up most of my free time. Looking to complete this gun here shortly. Anyways. Hope to make some friends here. Peace out.

Welcome.

Get to know all the different forum pages.  There is tons of cool forum pages in here besides the AR15 pages.   I spend most of my time in the armory reloading.

Its been able 5 years since I have been in the AR building game. Holy crap the amount of accessories, and manufactures that have come out is insane. Last time I remember everyone was in the noveske and mega arms fashion statements. Lowers with skulls? Seriously. My gut is telling me to stick to old faithful for my new build. Looks like BCM, Spikes, and DD are still doing well. Damn looks like everyone wants a piece of the cake now. LOL

Yea, I know a guy who recently bought a lower that the magwell was in the shape of a skull, looked cool but not $300+ cool. I'll stick with the cheap lowers.

I would be afraid of chipping a tooth while doing a mag change.

I didn't go with the skull version but I did pick up a ambidextrous Seekins lower with the drop front magwell for my competition rig.  I picked it up because of the ambidextrous bolt release but I like the look of the drop front magwell.  No I probably didn't need to spend that much on the lower but I'm $3K ish into the gun so nothing about it makes sense other than it is the most fun gun to shoot I have ever had my hands on.

Looks like now it is CHF or nothing. Last time I built my gun it was chrome lined or nothing. Think I am going to not worry about the CHF thing, and just stick with chrome lined. I may have a hard time finding a 14.5 barrel that is not CHF so I may be forking out the money regardless.

For sake of debate. That is not entirely true. Buddy of mine is an intense beer snob. I have tried a ton of beers and found that some breweries serve there beer between warm, and seriously cold. I learned that companies like budweiser and coors need the beer very cold because the colder your beer the less taste buds are effected. Therefore, you wont be able to taste the sub par brewing process in the beer. The only information I can concur on is that there were some beers that tasted fuller when they had warmed up just a bit. Note: I am not a beer snob, and really dont give two fucks but thought the information from these master brewers was interesting. Its fun to get fucked up and educated at the same time with a burger in front of you.
