With everything going down the way it's going, I figure I better get off my a$$ and form a trust. I'm completely blind sided with which the way I'm put in this predicament. I've bookmarked a couple gun trust websites, but the places that do the trusts are in another state. I don't think that's the ideal way to go about it. I live in Washington state. So I think my best choices would be through a local firm to form my trust. Online may be the best bet to get things rolling. I don't know. I live on the West side near the coast. Where to start? I'd appreciate some guidance on the matter so I can get moving on this ASAP. Thanks |

I appreciate your input. A bit of reading ahead as I'm basically blind in the subject. I'd been planning on picking up an SBR. Been dragging my feet, but if I could find what I wanted for the right price, I'd take the plunge. The subject of that, and possibly a silencer (Neighbors close by. More in consideration. Noise.) down the road if I can swallow the price. |

Its really easy, if you decide on the bronze gundocx trust then all you do is go here and purchase it.
http://nwgunlawgroup.com/gun-trusts/bronze-gun-trust/ Print, take it to your bank to get notarized. Dont sign it before you get there, they'll want you to do it with them there. Make a copy of that and take it to your FFL to make your purchase, they will fill out two copies of the form 4 (the transfer to you). You can either bring a check or money order for $200 (or $5 for an AOW) or the new form 4 has a 3rd page to use your debit/credit card. You or they will mail out the two form 4's, a copy of your trust and the payment and then the waiting begins. It really is that simple. |

Part of the equation that bothers me, even though I have my CCP, is going through the steps planking down the cash. I always think outside the box. I might be over thinking. So here I am at the dealers. I want to buy an SBR. First I pay for it, then I fill out the required paperwork that alleviates barriers along the way. I pay the required fee for the stamp, then, wait. What's the repercussion (worse case scenario) if the stamp gets denied for "whatever" reason with what's going here recently concerning the ATF/BATF? So for whatever reason it does get denied, if it was that way, at that point I couldn't own an SBR. But, I paid for one. What happens then? I shelled out the funds for something I can't keep. Does the dealer just say, no problem, well buy it back for the price you paid for it, or do I have to take it in the backside and end up losing money to get out of the whole ordeal? |

Unless you're a prohibited person you wont get denied, you'll be fine!
If something did go wrong they may offer you a refund possibly minus a restocking fee. Or put it up on the wall and let someone else buy it and give you funds after its been sold. Just depends on their policy, but again you'll be fine. |

My personal experience buying a suppressor from an out of state manufacturer that went bankrupt.....you get fucked. Hot Gates Armory was nice enough to let me cut the registered tube up ( documented and photgraphed) and not Form4 a gutless aluminum tube. I'd strongly suggest buying NFA weapons from a reputable company, not a start up, that has the stock in hand at the time of purchase, preferably in WA so there's no Form3 bullshit holding the process up |
| I also used NW Gun Law Group and have the silver trust. It works well for me and Keith took the time to answer all my questions before I signed and created the trust. If I could do it over, I might consider the Silencerco Easy Trust since it is 50 state legal and about $370 cheaper. Here is the link if you are interested. https://silencerco.com/nfa-trust/ |
