| I have recently reacquired an interest in the MIA rifle platform. That being said I know little to nothing about them other than I want one. Is there a local GURU/Smith/Shop where I can go to learn more about and purchase the correct rifle? |

I too just re-discovered my M14 love, and coughed up for a very nice pre-ban 1983-ish Springfield. My love lasted until about the 9th shot fired at the local range.
Nothing wrong with the rifle, but something obscenely sinister seems to have beset my eyes. After shooting with all sorts of optics for the last few years, the M1A's iron sights do not seem all that compatible with my 51 year old vision. After putting it off for the better part of 10 years, I have an appointment next week with an Optician. Maybe he can do something to make that M1A work better. Truth be told, as I couldn't make out the black at all at 100m, I was just shooting center mass on the 8x11 target, and actually didn't group too bad for all but firing blind. 3" group. With some sort of new fangled "spectacles", I'm hoping to chop that by 2/3rds.  .
