(whatever that means)..... I guess if it's none of my business or it's some super secret code talk of you Wet Side guys, then so be it. But I had to ask.
I kept coming back and looking and looking and Scratching my head.......

A certain AR manufacturer installs the front site post and then runs it through the coating process.
That is what the barrel looks like when you remove the front site post.

I am going to cut and thread the barrel past the first front site post hole and then I will install a cut up front site post and install it to fill the second post hole.

I am waiting on my can before I do it.

It's for my ugly Sig Stock pistol.

I cut down the rail cover to fit the hand guard.
No front site post because I don't want one.
Nothing changes was explained in a previous post.
DISSY = Bushmasters lame "Dissipator" AR15.

I can use it on my other .45 ACP pistols without having 2 feet of rifle can on the end.

Barrel and can are 16.25 not 2 feet.
I do have thread on muzzle cans for damn near every caliber but I sorta got hooked on some integrals after hearing how quiet some of them are.
I bet you exaggerate about the length of your other barrel too

Unfortunately a lot of companies take that shortcut. I've changed a lot of gas blocks and had to clean a lot of rust, and do some quick and dirty refinishing (Aluminahyde II, or a highly heat resistant ceramic based coating) before putting the new one on.
