With this new fancy-dancy SBR law going into effect soon, does anyone know of some local engravers that have done good work in the past?

I'd like to engrave my trust info in the trigger guard where the trigger comes through the lower, but thus might be a but much for your average trophy engraver.

Are you being optimistic or haven't heard that Form 1's might be a no-go?
I have no helpful engraver information.

I have seen the people reading far too much between the lines, and seen Dawgfish's replies that the AG will give us an answer soon.

Given the generality of the word "acquire" I'm sure that form 1's will be a go.

A couple lawyers were the ones who said it was likely a no-go. But the AG will make a decision... that could later be changed by a different AG.

You'll need to have the engraving a specific size and depth. It must be at least .003 inches and at least 1/16 inch in size. Not sure if your information will fit in the triggerguard.

I was hoping to find someone who can do this.

Borrowed from Spectracord from a thread in the SBR section.

About the worst the the ATF would do is deny your form 1.

I like the location of the engraving.

Same, its quick to get to but out of the way.

The only issue would be finding someone who has the tooling to reach in there and do a good job.

Champion Arms in Kent might be able to do it.

J&S in Lacey should be able to handle it. I have not been down there to ask specifically though. But I saw some of their work recently on a retirement present, it was great.

I asked them at the WAC show.  They don't have the tools to engrave deep enough yet, but they are looking into it, and plan on being able to do it in the near future.
