The better half and I will be moving to Bainbridge within the next few years.  Right now, we're spending a few days there at a time, to gauge the different parts of the island and to get a feel for the area.  Our next trip is towards the middle/end of October, and we were thinking of doing some salmon fishing.

Can anyone recommend a good charter to the San Juans/Puget area?

Tell him Dogfish sent you.  He's a good guy with lots of experience.  Although you might want to book a river trip, not a salt boat trip, at that time, as most of the salmon will be in the rivers.  For a river trip, Duane Inglin or Bob Barthlow would be good options.  Talk to Matt now about booking a trip, and if you need any other referrals for a river trip, send me a PM.

Another shameless plug for Bob Barthlow–– Rapid Robert has gotten us multiple large steelhead every time we've gone out with him. Great guy, shooter friendly, knows the rivers better than anyone else I've ever met.

Got it, chief  If it wasn't so remote (ie. the SO's half of the decision), I'd be somewhere closer to the San Juan's.
