Wow it just got a little "dusty" in here while I was watching her memorial show. What a sweet, brave woman!

May you rest in peace!

The world was a better place with Kathi in it.
And is diminished by her loss.
My God watch over her family and friends,
With Kathi by his side.....

I am not a long term resident, how long has she been off the air?

A few years now! Very very sad! I remember when the Mariners were good and after a big game Dan Lewis and Kathi were on site and all the rowdy fans were chanting kathi-goertzen, over and over! It was very cool and one of my favorite moments!

She was easily hands down one of the finest ladies I think I have ever seen. What she did in her short life was absolutely incredible and she is in heaven as we speak.
No words can describe her, she was an amazing woman.

Really, really sad to hear that she died.  She was one of those people that I just expected to always be there doing her thing (and doing it exceptionally well)... Huge loss to the community.  RIP Kathi.

She and Dan Lewis visited Swedish Hospital a few times while I worked there.
They always seemed to be in sync and in a good mood when they'd visit for whatever TV article they were doing together.

Funny, but I thought THEY were a couple!
Come to find out, as Dan said in the coverage after she'd passed away, she was his BEST FRIEND.
Awesome.
Then, we see the crew and her family sharing thoughts about her.
I was truly touched and shed tears because of the close family and friend ties that she had.

We've lost another local friend that many of us only knew via TV...the other being J.P. Patches.

It's kind of strange that we get attached to personaliities that we only see on a TV screen, but it goes to show that these folks have been a part of our lives in ways we didn't realize until they're gone.

So it is now, with the internet, and our ARFCOM friends...remote and rare as our visits may be, we are connected.

Hoist a favorite beverage in honor of our 'friends'.
To Kathi and J.P., and all you ARFCOM 'people'...

I am a little too young (31) to remember JP but my older friends and family were very sad about JP.

Kathi was a brave, beautiful woman and we will all miss her!
