| So, I finished the whole online course thing, but it looks like all of the field evaluation dates are packed. I am curious if there is anyone here who is legit to do it somewhere near Tacoma (between trucks, stuck with wifes vehicle for now and schedule is kind of tight). Would be happy to throw some cash/beer their way for the inconvenience. I am pretty frustrated and want to just get it over with. |

We had the same problem....currently scheduled in September at the following location....they had openings last I checked....this is about a two hour drive for us.....on-line process is o.k. but the field testing isnt what it should be...

I don't even know what the field eval entails. For example, I couldn't operate a bow if my life depended on it, and if I actually have to shoot I am screwed unless they are providing a shotgun as I don't own one and don't want to, and I am between bolt rifles for at least another 3 weeks. Pretty vague shit. |

I've been looking into doing the online course, how long did it take you to complete the oniline portion? He many hours/day? |

It is very common sense oriented. |

You can sign up for classes here (http://www.register-ed.com/programs/washington/95-washington-field-skills-evaluation-for-on-line-course).
There are a few that are still open, but most of them are a month or more out and they might not be too close to you. I don't think you need to provide a rifle or ammo. Most of the courses I've heard of provide those for you. |
