So I'm driving in downtown Oly about 3 blocks from the capitol...
I notice 2 OLY PD cruisers 2 abreast, I just drive around them.. no big deal..... About a block ahead, a car is stopped.... I slow down, and notice that in front of the car is a group of about 30 or so people BLOCKING the traveling portion of the roadway for my direction. There was a guy feverishly waving a fucking glow stick, in an attempt to not get run over, I guess... Can I just run them over next time? They don't have the right of way because they're not in a crosswalk. I have to break the law by crossing a double yellow to go around them. I'm thinking airhorn and PUSHING them out of the way might work better next time.... |

I suspect that regardless of the crosswalk rule, if you hurt anyone by deliberately running them down (or if the court feels you were not paying enough attention) you risk being charged or convicted of anything from careless driving, assault, assault with a deadly weapon, homicide, and about anything else a liberal prosecutor can think of.
However, I wouldn't loose any sleep if someone trying to show off their new found anarchy philosophy got run over. However, if there anarchy philosophy were followed to the letter, there really wouldn't be anything against you running them over, because there would not be any laws. That irony would serve then rightly. |
