So, what's the best way to fix a leaky roof? A bucket of course.
Heard a crash out in the hallway a few minutes ago. This is what I found.
Jackass building maint. decided to put a bucket up in the ceiling to catch the slow dripping leak. Fine for a quick bandaid until you can find the real problem. But it's been a couple of weeks since they've been up here. So the bucket overflowed and soaked the ceiling tile it was sitting on, which then gave way. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

Flat roof?...
Go uptop, and see if any drains are plugged up, and there is not a huge pool of standing water.
Had a couple of good leaks at the telemarket center that are causing issues also. Unplugged the drains, and it at least slowed it down a bunch.

One of the guys I worked with at a gun store told me the story of a guy standing up on the chair with a pencil, going ot poke a wet spot on the acoustic tile.
I guess no sooner does he poke it, the entire thing splits and shits water everywhere.

Idiots... don't they know the bucket goes on top of the roof to catch the rain before it ever has a chance to hit the roof and leak through?

Obviously a noob. Anyone with redneck skilz experience knows that you put a board across the grid, then the bucket on the board so that the weight is off of the tiles.
Duh!

So much for the 'white trash' fix.
Better do the 'redneck' fix next. Replace tile section with screen, replace bucket with planter, plant something with minimal water needs. Problem solved

Nobody has suggested a funnel with a hose hooked to the bottom of it,
then run the hose to the nearest waste paper basket (which is dumped daily).
