That stupid bastard. That was better than when he lost his boat down the ramp! How that dumb mother fucker has managed to not kill himself or his son yet is beyond me. The network hit gold pitting him against Joe. This ought to be a good season. Off to watch the rest of the show. |

I watched all 3 seasons on Netflix earlier this month. I'm not sure why. Maybe because they remind me of some of the dumbshits I grew up with. Its kinda like watching a train wreck I guess. I was glad when James took the job by himself, the kid seems to have potential as long as his dad isn't around screaming at him. |

people watch this? I suppose you guys watch NASCAR. I don't care for drama and hype regardless of how it is packaged. I dont know why my brother ZABU thinls its "drama in the woods". Now if we were talking about survivor, Id understand. Ive never logged. The show has multiple methods and interesting info. Im a full on logger now! I suppose some people would be more interested in office drama. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Huh, just for shits n giggles, I watched Season 1, Episode 1.
I grew up hunting in that area. Some of that stuff south of Hwy 53 towards the coast (God's Valley, etc.) gets real steep, real quick. "Hey, I'll drop you off up here. You hunt down through the clearcut and I'll pick you up at the bottom in a couple hours." "Um, sure, Dad." "C'mon, piece of cake." That only worked a few times on me before I wised up.

Ive never logged. The show has multiple methods and interesting info. Im a full on logger now! I've never been a professional logger, either. But I have been around it enough to know that (A) It is interesting enough without the manufactured drama and attention whorish behavior and (B) From what little I have seen of the show, it is not exactly an accurate depiction of real world logging due to the manufactured drama and attention whorish behavior noted in (A) It's like when I have watched Orange County Choppers and American Hot Rod. I find all of the fabrication and custom work that goes into building those motorcycles and hot rods fascinating, but the added unnecessary drama, attention whoring and outright retardation just ruin the shows for me. I suppose some people would be more interested in office drama. Ultimately, don't shows like Axmen, OCC, AHR, etc share the same common theme with office drama: interpersonal conflicts? I guess the producers just have to exaggerate or outright fabricate them to make the shows interesting enough for the masses.

DINGDINGDINGDINGDING!!!! Exactly why I don't watch "Reality TV" shows. Quoted: The one that annoyed me was Top Shot. Leave all the drama BS alone and lets see who can shoot the best. Same here. The most mature person on that show was the 'kid' that nearly everyone was shitting on. BTW: That kid, Kelly Bachand, and two other Highpower shooters from the Cascade Rifle & Pistol Club, were selected for the USA PALMA team and will be competing in Australia in 2011. |

People (and I'm no exception) have a habit of acting differently or more outlandish when they know the cameras are rolling and someone will be watching. |
| One of my client's is in it this season. I feel a bit embarrassed for them after watching 15 minutes. That is all I could take. What they are showing does not reflect the professionalism that actually takes place in the woods. What you see is when City Folks infect country folks with bad ideas. |

Makes me wonder what kinda $$ they get from the show. I know I would not want a bunch of guys/gals with those video cams running around in my way/face all day. Obviously enough that the crab guys went back on camera for whatever season they are on after trying to play hardball... And for the right price per episode, plus your regular work pay... I bet you would! Even the Chinese have a price! |

One of my client's is in it this season. Pete has been to an LCR.
He showed up one day and said, "What in the hell is going on around here?!" You two must be big fans of the show. I dont remember anyone named Pete.
Ill have to watch the first 15 mins again. When you said you were embareassed for him/them I thought of the Hoquiam dip shit. He drops his trailer about 15 mins in. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Nope, not the S&S guy. Don't know him. Don't care to. Only watched a few minutes and had enough. The funny thing is that we had talked about Ax Men with a number of the folks related to their company a few years ago during dinner. A number of the guys actually said the show was a joke. Previous companies have issued apology statements for the actions of their crews, and the distortion of events through creative editing. Mike is a few bucks richer (not much), and maybe a little wiser. He is excellent at getting wood out off the stump and into the mill. |

He was the biggest whining metrosexual fucktard. I guarantee you that if he posted here in the WA forum like he acted on the show you would have him crying for mommy after three of your responses to his post.
