Quoted: anyone else ? Anyone else what ? LIve in Tacoma? We can't give out that infromation do to OPSEC. I say where I live but that's because I'm like a retard with a butterfly on their nose. ![]() ETA: I broke down once in Lakewood, right near Tacoma. Some very polite African American gentlemen, with Raiders jackets and caps offered to take my truck home with them and fix it. They said they would bring it right back. |

TONS of us in the Tacoma area. Hilltop isn't AS bad as it used to be but the Eastside is getting worse. Most of the shootings these days actually happen in the Seattle Belltown area. That being said, here in the WA HTF our groups aren't very limited by geography. We have get togethers all up and down the I5 corridor. |

You asked about all of this about a year ago or so, didn't cha? Sure did, last April, however you were in TX looking at a move to Spokane: http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=8&f=15&t=407651 The generic spiel for good measure. Here's roughly what I gave the last guy to ask... The hunting Regs up here SUCK BALLS- http://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/ It is a "Shall Issue" state with no training requirement for the 5-year concealed carry permit. There's a sticky at the top of the forum with more firearm info, but most of it's already been laid out for you... There a sticky for the NFA info: http://www.ar15.com/content/page.html?id=510 Cliff Notes: Own suppressors but don't shoot with them. DD & AOWs are OK. Sign offs can be problematic Except for a few exceptions: No FA No SBR No SBS Apply for your CPL as soon as you can and they'll issue it within 30 days for a resident or 60 days for a new resident. The economy varies from location to location, suffice it to say, the area you're looking at is in the higher end of the scale. Most of us here can agree that there are two very different political divisions in the state. The Conservative, Agriculture based "Dryside" (East of the Cascades), and the hippy Libtard socioCommunista "Wetside" (West of the mountians). The Democratic politics that you find in the South are not the same here, there's very little middle of the road DNC types, and we'd be more than happy to see some of our Rhino's tarred and feathered. Taxation and State government is another hot issue. The current "Queen" really acts like one, and gross mismanagement of resources have led to budget shortfalls that are making us start to look like Commiefornia. Up here, within the 100 mile radius you can experiance just about any type of terrian you choose, whether it's mountians, water or what have you. That holds especially true in the Spokane area, eerything is 20-40 minutes away. 100 Miles anywhere but the I-5 corridor really isn't shit, and for the most part a 90 minute trip. On I-5 and in and around the Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia areas, that's drastically different. There are guys here who spend 2 hours to go 50 miles during the weekday. The WAHTF is a tight knit group, you'll notice our postwhoring rivals TX, and we regularly have GTG's on both large and small scales. There's quite a few of us that BBQ or hang out with each other often. The area you're looking to move to will present numerous opportunities to make a fair amount of friends that'll support you rather quickly. Make sure to go get us some beer, and be ready to answer questions. Lots of questions. |

they cleaned hilltop up alot and downtown too. I remember the gang banging 80's up on hilltop, had a gf that lived right on the edge of it.
In cleaning that area, the scum scattered like cockroaches, mainly to the east but also south towards Lakewood. i remember one time in about 1990 or so I left a country concert in my little pickup and headed up and over hilltop with country music cranked up. About halfway through I figured out it wasn't such a smart thing to do
WOW just realized that was 20 years ago!! WTF?? |

Tacoma and Lakewood are right next to each other. This is a representation of them: http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t100/littlemiss_014/funny/DogPuke.gif HA! Naw, I just knew you liked that one. Tacoma's not all that bad, it's just parts of it that are. Hilltop is much better than it was some years ago. Downtown too. The east side, as others have said, is bad and getting worse. "Salishan", as it's known. Fairly frequent gunshots, etc. Some areas near South Tacoma Way (sort of on the line between Lakewood and Tacoma) are kind of bad too. And of course, go a bit south and we've got Tillicum and "Chocolate City", those are the true pearls of the region! Crappy down there.
North end Tacoma, Fircrest, University Place, all fine though. ahhh good old salishan lol . thats were i was raised google earthed it and theres nothing on the street i grew up on. you know where 38th street meets portland ave. that cul de sac on the other end of that birm there is arlington drive, in the 90s there were houses there. |

There's a small apartment complex right at that intersection I call "Little Cambodia". Yup lil cambodia has been there long as I can remember. Never seen anything but cambodians there. I was in many a fight at the bus stop on that corner. Is the barbeque joint that got shot up still there ? Down towards the park ? I was there for the trang dai shooting as well. They've built a bunch of new housing in the area of 40th and Portland....cheap....and it's quickly turning to shit too. |

I came home for a funeral and saw the "facelift" didn't figure it would do much for the residents. I was there less that 36 hours though. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

North Tacoma/Fircrest/UP aint all that bad. I'm by the Narrows myself I heard you gotta pay a toll to get back from gig harbour now ? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile That would be correct, the whole 2nd bridge thingy. It's $4 if you don't prepay, I dont cross much so I hafta pay at the toll both every time I go over and come back ,assuming I dont take the ferry back further north, which is closer to $20 |

I'm just glad they don't charge for the 2 axles on the quad when I trailer it over to Tahuya, though I wouldn't put it past Gregwhore to start doing that soon. |
