I have a Droid Incredible. There are some apps I'd like to buy, but I'm leary of putting my CC# through my phone. It's my impression that my phone is less secure than my computer, is that accurate? I rarely send my CC# through my computer and usually use PayPal for electronic transactions. The driod market doesn't have a PayPal option.

Is it safe to send my # through the phone?
Is there a back door option for PayPal?

It SHOULD be using the same technology as your web broswer to send that info.  You're good to go.

Download the Opera browser for your phone from the Droid market.....use it instead of the stock browser.

Have done alot of research and it seems more secure than the built in one!

I'm not sure how the droid app purchase system works. With Apple you have an Apple account tied to your CC so all you need to do to buy is login to your iTunes account. Seems safer that way to me.

You're safer using your CC through your phone or PC than in person at a restaurant.

Far as I can tell, Apple is light years ahead of Droid. Droid doesn't have an itunes equivalent that I've found.

A prepaid card would be the simplest way to make sure my card doesn't get compromised. Then again, I should probably quit using it at restaurants since I'm so paranoid.
