So I was very recently given a collection of 52 rounds (both rifle and pistol). Most of these rounds are slightly damaged or in otherwise un-fireable condition. So what I think I'm going to do is build a display for them. I'm thinking a glass front wood box with narrow shelves and labels for each round saying what it is.
There are a few holes I'd like to fill, so I'm going to include a list of what I have. So if you know of a place for me to get 1 round of something I don't have shoot me an IM. Also, if you have any suggestions as to what I should add (even if you can't help me find one) that would be appreciated as well. So here's the list, I've sorted them by pistol and rifle and roughly by caliber. Sweet! On the .50 BMG I figured I'd pick one of those up at shizzle since it's the only round I know of that I can buy individually but if youre willing to give me one I'm not going to say no. ETA: the rounds I have are far from pretty (for the most part) so there will be a fair bit of cleanup going on already. I'll probably spray some clear lacquer on them so they don't oxidize. |

I've been thinking of doing something similar (if I ever get around to it) and have a few duplicates in my collection that you're welcome to. These are all loaded rounds. .250-3000 Savage (marked REM-UMC and 250 HP) .32 Remington (Peters) 6.5x55 Mauser (Western) .25-35 Winchester (REM-UMC) .30-40 Krag (I know you have one already, but this one is marked U.S.C.Co. and 30. GOV.) and .10.4x38R Vetterli M69/81 (a.k.a. .41 Swiss) rimfire Lemme know! |

If that takes the same slug as 50ae, I could throw in a projectile.
IM the address for the incoming ORM-D. (Is there any restriction on mailing small amounts of ammo?) Maybe we could meet at Red Robin and all toss our rounds out on the table. Quoted:

Thanks guys! Spanky, just for the sake of posterity, is it a loaded round or just the brass? Just the brass... DO you think I have any load ammo...? |

Small Arms = <20mm. That's what I mean. I've been offered a 20mm case, and a dummy 25mm round, so I was thinking that if I can get a few more 20mm and up stuff than I would made a separate display for them. As they would take up a lot of room in the other display. |
