I would love to get over there for that one.
But I'll have to settle for the Spokane air show Skyfest 2010 |

I'm in!

Should be there Saturday also, our warehouse location is right under the flight path and watching the F4 Phantom fly over made me really wish they had something more "current" flying overhead An F-22 demo would be cool but on the other hand the Phantom is timeless and has actually killed some bad guys... |

If you get a chance to see a F-22, take it. You may think it's just another fighter, but it's simply unreal what this thing can do in the hands of a skilled pilot. Seriously, when I say unreal, I mean it doesn't even look real. I was actually more impressed with the F-22 flying solo than the the whole Blue Angles show, and the blue angles are amazing. I'm a big aircraft nut, and I absolutely love the WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War era aircraft, but I was left speechless watching this thing being put through the paces. |

As far as the F-22's, definately, they are unreal, flying at night, they seriously do not look like any other "human" aircraft. but as far as airshows go, I have been living in one for the past month and a half, I'm ready to go home and sleep in a room with out 80 other guys, and taking showers all by my self, not hearing 5 other guys singing the song "My Girl" in the shower. I am ready to eat food that is safe for human consumption, and I am definately ready to drive the deuce again. Wow, this kinda turned into a hijack/rant. Back to the topic at hand, I would definately watch the F-22's over the blue angels any day. |

oh sorry I saw 4 blue jets in formation doing loops.

Traffic on I5 around McCord is a fucking nightmare right now. Yes indeed, it was insane. Yeah, saw some cool stuff flyin' overhead from the Parkland/Lakewood area. F-4's, what appeared to be T-37's and an F-86, F-16's, etc. Looked like maybe an A-6 too, or variant thereof. Did see a F-4, F-16, something else, and an A-10 flyin' in formation! That was a trip. |

I attended inadvertently, my son was playing in a baseball tournament on a field off of Steele street and the field was in the flight path.
It was really hard for the boys to concentrate when the B-2 and other aircraft were flying low level right over the field. ETA: I missed a lot of action on the field, it was awesome! |
F-22's from Tyndall AFB. One of them was actually looking kind of rough. The paint was peeling from the nose. Funny how things change. During the last airshow two years ago they had SP's with M-4's standing guard between us yokles and the F-22's but this time the crowd control fence was apparently good enough.
F-15E.
T-38. We took note that the T-38 has apparently been receiving regular avionics upgrades. They velcroed a handheld GPS to one of the instrument panels.
Top Gun F-5. The Naval Fighter Weapons School actually sent one of their Super Hornets and an F-16 too.
I'd never seen an F/A-18 with the conspicuous giant light mounted forward of the cockpit. We asked the pilot about it (who was conspicuously not Canadian by the way, he was actually a USAF exchange pilot) and it turns out that when the Canadians intercept Russian aircraft coming over the pole they like to document the incidents and when they happen at night this is how they light 'em up.
Combat controllers practicing for the show open. The show open was a mock assault on the airfield.
A-10's on a strafing run.
More combat controllers.
Rangers taking down the airfield.
Those new parachutes I recognize from one of KA3B's GD posts about such things.
AH-1 Cobra rolling in to suppress enemy forces.
C-17 assault force returning to base.
A-10.
Grumman Bearcat.
Hungry C-5.
Polish Migs.
In a dogfight versus an FJ Fury.
Fury and Mig.
Three ship.
Super Hornet demo.
More Super Hornet.
Over the top.
Fury and Hornet heritage flight.
F-16 Demo.
They always pick the wrong music for these demos. Everyone knows it should be Queen's One Vision.
Jet car.
T-33 Ace Maker though the history they gave over the PA system it should be called the death trap.
It's been 15 years since I've seen a B-2 in person.
On his last pass it lined up perfectly.
QF-4
A-10 again.
Another heritage flight.
This guy put on a great show in the F-86 and when they read off his flight experience it's absolutely no wonder. |

Went today, traffic was not that bad. Not too bad of a show considering that there was no big name Demo Team. That green F86 was kick ass as was the F4. Plus anything with afterburner is always worth seeing. Well except that jet car. Got to finger a real M4 with the happy switch too.
