First: Congrats Second: What's the story on getting the "tank"? It's for Military only along with a special forum. Active Duty, Nasty Guard, Reserves, Retired and Prior Service may apply. From GB. Military Section We will be opening a private area on the site for our current/past/retired military users. If you qualify , please email [email protected] with a copy of your DD214 from a .mil address if you have one. If not, the staff will contact you to verify things if they need more info. All information will be deleted once you are approved and will be tagged with the staff member who approved you. Only ex military staff members (edsr, paul, 82nd, NorCal_LEO) and myself/striker (former Canadian military) will have access to the information to help with approvals. The military section will be restricted to ONLY those who are approved as a resource to interact with others in the field, offer support, and share stories. Our goal is simple, to provide another resource for the health and stability of our troops and to be able to get them anything they may need. Black out your SSN number on your DD-214 or other please. Don't forget to include your AR15.com user name. Paul ETA: Please compress your .jpg files to something reasonable - 200 KB is good, 12 MB is bad. - Paul Military service is considered being attached to a command. Sorry, those just attending school like boot camp or advance training but not actually being assigned a command are not considered veterans for access to the forums. Our guard services - Air and Army are also welcome.- Paul If you don't get a response to your e-mail with in a couple of days shoot me an IM. I just discovered some e-mails are ending up in my junk folder..Striker Linky |

Quoted: Thanks, "Ginger". Quoted: For some reason I am reluctant to email my DD214 off to someone to get a special little tank on a forum... Privacy concerns. I think that's the reason you're trying to think of. I can always depend on my fellow Irishmen... Err.... umm.... |

Nice tank. Do SeaBees get tanks too? I went on to some site that would give me a copy of my discharge, but I guess I need to do it on a computer that has a printer and then it has to be mailed in. Then I remembered I have trouble keeping up with the forums I like already. And as 1GR mentioned, it's already being trolled. Maybe later |

They specify redacting your SSN/Address, or use a .mil e-mail account. I have no clue what my account info would be |

Can't see what 1GUNRUNNER mentioned. He's probably just jealous that this icon has to actually be earned and is not given away freely. As far as trolls go, every forum here has one or two. Ignore works just as good for them as anyone else. |

Yes, Seabees should count. Fuck,I hope so. I was just curious if all branches of the service get a tank, or if there's another icon for the others. I've only seen tanks so far, but the Navy didn't have any tanks IIRC. Everyone gets a tank for now. At first it was an Eagle's head but that changed. The Navy does have tanks. They float on water and are called Battleships.

Damn.. I wonder if they will accept a copy of an old counseling statement I got for losing paperwork? ![]() I've heard the folks screening will work with you in these cases. The Icon was originally an eagle head, but they s-canned that idea to make the 3 international guys happy. ETA: GMW drove a tank in the Navy for 12000 hours on page 2

CRC risk assessments, health assessments, ERB access, Anti-terroism training bullshit and other related online "click and train" stuff...I'm sure there is more but I cant think of any right now. Had 1 or 2 NCO's that threatened counseling statements should they discover our passwords were expired.
ETA: the Marine Corps is a component of the United States Department of the Navy
Yeah, the men's department, or so they like to say. |
