I swear a mother fucker cant get a god damn breather. And this state wonders why dads go completely bat shit fucking postal or fall completely of the grid sometimes. Had a great day, a couple of job prospects looked real good, got a bunch of stuff around the house taken care of that I have wanted to do for a while etc. Just generally a good day. Fast forward to 1/2 hour ago when I returned from the mail box with a letter from DSHS. "This is a copy of a letter sent to unemployment. They are to, effective immidiately withhold 50% of each weeks unemployment check". OK, let me get this straight.....I went from making a very good income to nothing overnight. And now they want to are GOING to take 50% of my unemployment. That will officially put me well below poverty level income. And she gets to live like nothing has happened. And the powers that be ask themselves...."why do dads do such terrible things"? "Why did they go on that violent rampage"? "Why did he leave for a non extraditionary country never to be heard from again"? I cant wait to see the wifes reaction when i drop this on her when she walks in the door from work tonight......  |

| Damn sorry man...saw all this between my step dad and his ex...her always going after more, never bought shit for my step sister with the money, dad bought all her cloths and shoes....she lived high on the hog, went after my moms income as well......that old bitch can burn in hell for all the heartache she caused our family.... |

Yup. I have always paid on time everytime. As a matter of fact it was coming directly out of my checks from day 1 of the divorce. Difference now is that that I am paying child support at the level of income I was paying at when I was employed. My unemployment is less than half of what my regular income was and they are taking 50% of that. |

Then it would be as bad. just made a phone call to my old family law atty. he said the same thing but also said i was on my own since i still owe him $ from the fiasco with my daughter last year. Going to call the family law facilitators at the courthouse tomorrow to get an appointment to review everything and hopefully get a hearing within a reasonable amount of time. |

OSE DCS tomato tomahto Info they usually send a letter telling you they'll take 50% if you don't respond before they take the 50%?  |

You can request a modification through DSHS. If you have a court ordered obligation, a certain criteria has to be met before the prosecutor will take the case for modification. If you have an administrative order it is easier. Are you paying just current support each month? Or are you paying on back support as well? All letters say DSHS can withhold up to 50% of your income, but it doesn't mean they will. If you would like more detail, and don't want to post your dirty laundry on here, you can IM me and I can try to answer your questions. I am a Support Enforcement Officer for WA Child Support, in case you are wondering...and I'm pretty fair across the board

Its actually closer to 48% . they said they were going to take a dollar figure. but it also said they could take up to 50%....48/50 damn near samey same. I have no back support. I have paid on time every time like stated above. it has come directly out of my paychecks since day 1 of the divorce. so there is no way to get behind. ETA: Nevermind that I have to feed and clothe them as well, not to mention my 3 step kids, pay rent, bills, car payments fucking et. all. And the wife is making all of 13.00/hour while going through nursing school. |

I hate to say it, but, IMHO, if you're not already, I'd be keeping the receipts for all 5 kids. Make sure to enumerate the checks as to what's for what kid, ect. In a year, (IMHO), go back and ask the court if you support money is being used for anything other than maintaining your ex's "lifestyle" and make a new play to get the kids. |

I have a set amount per month. 974.25. That was split between my 2 monthly paychecks. so I was able to account for what they took and make sure it was the right amount. It was right on the pay stub and I have kept every single one just incase DSHS went full retard and I had to pull thier punk card. |

She doesn't have the slightest idea what her CS money goes towards after she mails the check.
