There will be a big fifty to the shoot at LCR. But with the price of 50 BMG ammo, we will need to supply our own ammo if we want to give it a shot.
I've never shot a 50 before and I'll probably never have a better opportunity to do so. So as I work just down the street from Surplus Ammo & Arms I bought a 650 gr. 50 BMG round for $3.50 yesterday. Best price I've seen. So here's the deal. If you want to shoot the big 50, let me know how many rounds you need and I'll pick them up today. As I said, $3.50 a round and bobbity gets to keep the brass and any leftover ammo. Post and tell me how many you want me to pick up. |

Never mind the fact that he knows not all of the acronyms and other references you folks toss around in here (eg, LCR, 106, etc). As much as I've lurked here in the past, I was only on the hunt for technical info, not all your secret society stuff. It's lonely on the outside though, and I want in.

We are not trying to put new guys off...in the political climate in this state we have to be careful of who comes to our shoots...the wrong person...and we lose that shooting spot, and there are fewer and fewer places to shoot in this state as the years go by. |

That's understandable. During my time at WWU, I've been trying to organize a group for faculty, staff, and students who are interested in firearms to come together and discuss them, as well as anything else openly, and to share knowledge and organize range days. I'm not trying to come into the fold like everyone has known me forever or anything, just trying to put out feeler and see if I can establish a rapport with some folks. Sorry for hijacking the thread; who wants ammunition for the .50? |
