Would anyone going to LCR be interested in some bowling pins to use as targets?  I think I can get my hands on several (maybe a dozen+?) boxes of them.  I'll get an accurate count tomorrow.

The thing is, I don't know yet if I'll be going to this LCR (I'm gonna try) and I have absolutely NO ROOM to store these things at my home.

We're planning on going but there is no room in the cell apartment for anything else. Grumpy had to stay outside when he visited Sunday.

Not house broken?

I live to far away or I'd take custody. I have a 2 or 3 left.

No head room. Have you seen the size of his head?

Ok, people, here's the poop...

The club where I shoot is getting rid of their bowling pins because they are no longer considered "approved" targets.  This is mainly due to the risk of ricochets.  Not a good thing when there are houses in the area that might get hit.

I've been assured that I am welcome to take ALL of the bowling pins FREE OF CHARGE.

I was at the range today and counted what they've got.  There are 10 bowling pins per box (one opened box only has 9) and there are 19 boxes.

That's 189 bowling pins.

[Mental image: A gravel pit.  Full of bowling pins.  A cry of "LOOK OUT!  THEY'RE COMING RIGHT AT US!"  Several uninterrupted minutes of high-speed lead delivery.
]
I have a key to the container where they are stored and can pick them up at any time.  I think I can get all 19 boxes in the back of my Blazer if I put the seats down, so it should only take one trip.  I just need somewhere to put them.  The boxes are cardboard and appear to be in reasonable shape, but they'd need to be kept someplace dry or they'd fall apart pretty quickly.

Midnightcreeper: was that an offer to store them at your place?  If so, that would be perfect.

Grumpy has expressed an interest in obtaining some pins for his own use.  I'm afraid to ask.....

I have a shop in McCleary with plenty of room.  Lots of room.

hmmm, Maybe with a couple of tables, we can set up a pin shooting match at the LCR?

Eatonville and McCleary are a bit out of the way for me to haul the pins to, but thank you for the offers, busboy1 and AMESO!

I'm going to try and pick up the boxes this Sunday since I'll be at the range anyway for our Practical Pistol (Action Pistol, whatever) shoot.

I've got 2 full boxes and the box of 9 set aside by request.  The rest, 16 boxes - 160 pins, are available for LCR.

Picked up all but 4 or 5 boxes today.  The ones I didn't get were in boxes that are falling apart.  I'll pick those up later this week.

Whoever it was on the Dryside that IM'd me about getting a couple of boxes, please contact me again!

Are the rest of these things even wanted at LCR????

Yes. They are used/needed at LCR.

I'll take some–– depending on what area you are in.

What area are you in?

I'm in Buckley/South Prairie.

The more I can give out before LCR, the better.

We have room to store 2 maybe 3 boxes, but I can't pick them up until
Saturday morning (1/16).  Furthermore, I'm not sure how much room I'll have available to transport them
at LCR time.

I know a couple people that will use 2 boxes for their personal use, if they don't get used for the LCR.

I can pick them up at LCR if that helps.

Getting them to LCR isn't a problem.  But it might mean that I'll be a Saturday Only participant rather than ADW.  Not sure I can get both the pins and my camping gear there in one trip.  I've got an idea, though.  I just have to experiment a bit to see if it will work...

As far a storing the things... I'm pretty sure I can shuffle some stuff around and make room after all.  No worries.

Well, I'll prob have room to pick up a few boxes from MCs house and take them on the way into the pit (as long as I don't have to bring a bunch of boxes of them out of the pit.)

I don't see myself being near Buckley in next few weeks.

If you get them to LCR then I can certainly take a bunch off your hands

Well, I learned today that Clown_Gun can't count to four.

Thanks again, and they will go to a good home on the dryside.
