Sure, bring him back. Someone mentioned to me about starting a "bring Spanky back" poll, but I figured I was too close to the matter to appear impartial.
Besides, a poll won't get him back nearly as quickly as changing a few specific peoples minds. I won't be saying which few either.

I wish Spyda, Strat, 1GUNRUNNER and Spanky could all come back. I'm sure that there are members here that for some reason don't like one or more of them but you really don't have to pay attention to them if that's the case. Banning someone is ridiculous and power mongering. There's a fine line here obviously between infinite material for satire and ridicule and control. I work hard at being an assclown, don't deprive others of that, it's pure discrimination.

He didn't just believe whatever he did, he caused the site disruption. This isn't a public place. It's like going into a restaurant, store, or any other privately owned, publicly accessed property and acting like a fool. The rules are clearly posted and everyone is expected to abide by them or get the fuck out. He control his own stupidity so fuck that worthless piece of shit. Actually that's an insult to shit. | It wasn't bad. Just had to ignore about half of what he said. It got a bit old after a while, but could've been something worse. It was kinda funny sometimes and at worst a little annoying. What did he ever get banned for anyway? I just figured he wasn't posting much, then a couple weeks later I saw reference to him being banned. |

I just think a time out is warranted. I know you guys can temp-ban. Let them think about things for a week, cool off, whatever, then give them another shot.
Make the time outs progressively longer. If things get progressively worse, well, deal with it at your discretion. |

Paid members are not guests, they are CLIENTS. This is not a restaraunt, nor somebody elses home that we come to on occasion.
Big difference. Something that seems to have been forgotten by some. And last I heard, according to the powers that be, we don't "buy" memberships, we "donate" to the site to get a membership upgrade. Funny, I don't remember where it said "donate" on the membership purchase page, nor do I recall one being able to "donate" to a business. One donates to a non-profit org. though. Is Arf a non-profit or a business? |
