Was on the way to work last Thursday headed west on the W Seattle Bridge at 0630 and the car starting sputtering. I pulled onto 4th Ave and looked under the hood to find the spark plug wire had pulled out of the block and that the plug was still attached. The contact was blown off. I screwed the plug back in and drove the last few blocks to work. At lunch I replaced the bad plug and replaced the rest that afternoon.![]() Fast forward to Sunday when I spent the entire day driving around the Capitol Forest until long after sundown. On the way home from work the next day steam came out of the hood near Eastlake and Harvard. The upper radiator hose, which has had a soft spot in it since, at least, 2004 had blown. ![]() So I pulled out my cell phone and called AAA (ARFCOM Automotive Assistance) and got a nearby Member who worked south of my break down and lived north. He drove up and got me to the auto parts place and we got my car running again. I love this site. ![]() |

I never call you anyway, just MSK. I'm here all day today. Went hunting this morning in a borrowed truck. Spending the rest of the afternoon in the back garage. If I don't answer the phone I am in the garage working. |

FRACK! Lots of road noise, hard pull to the right, high speed shimmy on the pass front tire. 3 tires with tread separation, one on the sidewall from 60MPH up to the LCR pit two others, no doubt, from sitting flat for however long. Les Schwab gave me credit toward the three and took 90 days same as for $150 with 10% down. Rolls like a new car and much quieter. |

I quit 6 days out so none of that counts.
