Welcome to the club.

What will you be carrying, that Sig P6?

For real.

Yes, the P6.  It's something I know I can shoot and am comfortable with.

Roger that.  Good choice.  What load?  I run 124grn Speer Gold Dots in my G17.

I guess just make sure whatever it is that it feeds reliably through that.  I hear the P6 is notorious for not feeding JHPs.

Popular choice for the ladies. My bride carries a P6 too.

You might already know to do so, but practice drawing your weapon.  People have been know get get tripped up by their clothes.

And rub it with something besides your hand often. The finishes are subject to rust. That, and they are 9mm, which will shoot down a Piper Cub, but never a 747.

I used to have a P6 (gave it to my brother in law when he turned 21 and got his CPL).  It fed Speer Gold Dots just fine.  Infact, it ate so many due to my stupidity of getting to the range, and getting all excited to shoot, I forgot to switch mags (DoH!)

Everyone knows you need a Fitty to take down a 747!

Indeed, the reports I've read show about half and halt, some owners report excellent feeding with a variety of JHPs, some report problems with some or all JHPs.  Pays ta make sure, eh.

I myself would do that with any autopistol though.
