You are backing out of a parking spot, you see someone else put there truck in reverse and start backing backing up.  You lay on the horn.  If you were they, what would you do?

His Ford, bent twisted bumper and scraped up quarter panel.

My chevy.  Squished the trim, smudged the dirt.

I asked if he wanted my name or number or anything, mumbled something about no insurance, said no, and we left.

I just laughed at him when he got out and said "I don't know whose fault that was?"

When I explained to him that I was already backed out and laying on the horn when I seen him start moving towards me.

My 15 year old, 218000 mile havin' chevy, has full coverage, he had a fairly new f150 Supercrew.  I don't know what the hell he was thinking.

I was at Cascade Arms, actually.

I am waiting for the post in GD "about some asshole at the gunstore who slammed into my F-150 supercrew!"

I'd've sued for some new dirt. "Dammit, that dirt was a Boeing research project–– it took five weeks and cost SEVEN HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS to get that dirt right! NOW what am I gonna tell my project manager???" etc.

Why is it always the ones with no insurance that run into you? Good thing you got off with a cleaner truck. Last one that hit me took out the quarter of my bed. Lucky for me my insurance company squeezed the deductible out of them

Parking lots are private property.  LE will not investigate or assign blame (at least they did not when I was t-boned).  It comes down to his word against yours and each insurance company pays for their own damages.  Since he did not have insurance, I don't know if LE would have come out or not.
