I shot over Friday and Saturday.  Equipment used: Nikon D300 - Nikkor 18-200 - Nikkor 70-300 - Sigma 150-500.  Also: It was a billion degrees.

Of note this year was the CF-18 that made a pretty awesome entrance on Friday.  It seems like just about every 10 years something decent will sneak into the show.  1997 saw a pair of US Navy F/A-18's so it's been a while.  The next and only real chance to see some serious jets is up in Abbotsford in August.

I'm trying like a stripper on her first night dancing to make it to Abbotsford this summer.  Always a kick ass show and it's always well run.

Thank God there are people with the desire, money, and time who keep some of these old birds in the air.  I always feel a little sad when I see ONE Mustang or ONE Bomber...knowing 60 years ago there were so many in the air they could block out the sun.

I get wood ever time I see a Mustang.  That's gotta be my favorite all time USAF aircraft.

Several good "desktop" pics there...thanks, although I have no clue what your camera info means....obviously it does the trick.

What is this "film" you speak of?

+1 on the warbird woodie
We were there Saturday and that P51 is perfect.   Paul Allen is putting his money somewhere usefull.  The restoration is just amazing.   How lucky (or rich) do you have to be to become a pilot for that museum?  I could stare at that bird for hours, and listen to it for days.

On one hand I too commend and appreciate Paul Allen putting up some serious money on these projects.  The way he goes about the whole thing, quality from top to bottom, he might as well make replica aircraft out of 100 dollar bills.  On the other hand since the collection left Arlington they don't make the shows anymore.  Apparently the P-51B that showed up this year belongs to another collection based out of Seattle.

I called a buddy who works in the temporary tower each year at the Fly-In for some info and he mentioned the pilot of the B model was Astronaut Bill Anders who also owns this D model based out of East Sound.

Here's Paul Allen's ship.

Here's the Olympic Flight Museum's ship.

You can't go wrong with any Mustang but the D model takes the win every time for me.
