I had the misfortune of working last night and missed all the festivities associated with the 4th of July except one.
My house looks like the entire block celebrated in my front lawn. Looks like I'll be spending a couple hours on my day off raking debri. Sheesh. /rant |
| I was with friends in Monroe. We partied at a Monroe police officer's house with his family. The officer was working, however at one point he parked his cruiser at the end of the block and walked up to the house. He walked out of the thick smoke looking like Terminator, slow, deliberate and unstoppable. |

This is the first year since I moved here that I haven't had to deal with the neighbors' fireworks fallout. Not so much as a single bottle rocket stick. There just weren't as many people doing the fireworks thing this year (economy?) and those that were were at least several houses away. |

I actually ran out of fire trucks to send on calls, and PUD had no one to send out.. more brush fires then I can count, and several house fires. 3-4 people blew themselves up... You name it.. Good times had by all!  And you thought stupid couldn't create jobs.
