I was wondering what county has the quickest permit issuance. I am an Illinois resident who hopes to move to Seattle in the near future and was looking at obtaining an out of state permit while I was there. I figured I would like to be able to carry while I was there. Any suggestions. I have a Florida permit but it is not valid in reciprocity and finding a Utah instructor around here is like trying to find the Holy Grail.
So any suggestions for an out of stater who will be visiting? Thanks. |

The same basic question was recently asked.

Snohomish County was fast. Initial permit applied for on Monday, in PO box on Thursday.... Many of my out-of-state friends went to the Monroe PD, and the amount of hassle was very low. I'll never forget the fucking-around a friend and I got from KC Sheriff's office, at the Kenmore Precinct. "Oh there's a huge waiting list, we only do it on every third Tuesday, months ending with R, Have to make an APPOINTMENT, etc...." From some deputy dickhead...
Told my buddy: Screw this, we're going downtown. Problem solved, The 30-day wait policy had just started. T.W. |
