Need some advice for optics for a flattop 6.8 RRA. Only thing is, $500.00 is the max I can spend. Any help would be appreciated. 300 yds would be the longest it would be used.

Leopold or Millet. a 2X7.
I have one and even with 110gr V max 300 yards is it. I don't believe and higher power is needed. YMMV
ETA a very good one piece mount is also in order. A high quality one.

I've got an Eotech 552 on 1 of my 6.8's and will be putting a Millett DMS-1 on the other.
I don't think I've got over $500 in both of them combined.

Do you want a scope or red-dot? Bushnell makes a nice HoloSight that's more affordable than EOTech.

what are you going to be using the gun for? punching paper? hunting? home defense? SHTF/Zombie hunting? these all will benefit from a different option.
