My A6 was exactly the opposite, SOHC 2.8 and the belt took 20 minutes.  The 2.7TT uses the same belt as the SOHC 2.8 with the idlers in different locations but the install... A complete nightmare. Well done.

What a pain in the ass!

Whatever happened for making vehicles easy to work on?

If I am ever going to buy a new vehicle, it damned well better be easy to work on or else no sale...period.

I have always heard that European vehicles are difficult and expensive to maintain...now I understand why.

I'm SO glad I don't work on cars, much less Audis, anymore.
I would much rather work on this...

Honeywell T55-L-714A turbine on my Chinook.

I think it is just wrong that a freeking shaft-turbine is easier to work on than most Audis!
